Titanfall for PC Quick Unboxing and Initial Impressions/Hands-On Review

Yesterday,  I uploaded a picture that I got the Titanfall for PC which I bought from Datablitz for Php 1,995. Earlier today, I spent almost 2 hours of game time. So without further adieu, here is my quick unboxing of Titanfall and my initial impression on it.

Unboxing

The Titanfall CD for pc has an ordinary minimalistic plastic case. Like other FPS games, it has a poster on the case with a lot of things that's going on.

You'll find three, yes three cds which are equivalent to almost 50gb.

Titanfall Initial Impression

My favorite game mode -- Hardpoints

I ran onto a lot of errors upon installing the game, but after I installed it, I hurriedly play the game itself.  So before anything else, I played this game on my desktop pc which has AMD FX 4100 CPU, and Nvidia GTS 450 GPU and I played this game on high settings. What's good about this game is it's well optimized compare to other FPS games like Battlefield which I can only run on mix medium and high settings.

Upon playing it for almost 2 hours, I was really amazed how the game works. One thing I noticed is it's a fast-paced game. One thing that should shine here it its sound effects. I really like how its sound effect works. It's like you're on the Avatar movie (the one with the blue monkeys).

Unlike other FPS games which are just firing to other players, the Titanfall has its own gimmick. All the players can do parkour like wall running, can also cloak, and do double jumps which caught my attention and maybe the reasons why I bought this game.

So the game has two team, the IMC or Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation which is like the counter-terrorists and the Militia which is like the terrorist. You can play the game in campaign mode and on classic mode. But unfortunately, you can't play this offline meaning on the campaign mode, you'll play it with other people.

The campaign mode has 9 stages, I still didn't finished so I can't conclude anything about it. Unlike in the classic mode, on the campaign mode there's someone who's talking about the mission while the match is queuing though I hope that there's a video or cinematic while we're waiting on the queue.

On the classic mode on the other hand, you can choose on 7 different game modes. Maybe my favorite among them for now is the Hardpoints where are 3 points - Point A, B, C. The main mission in this game mode is to capture and hold points in order to earn points.

So for me, the game has a lot of potential mainly because it's new and probably most or some of FPS gamers are tired of the same old COD or BF gameplay. So that's the end of my initial impression/hands-on review on the Titanfall game. I'm going to make a full review on this game and will be posted probably next week.
